Still a Classic: Neon Underglow Lights

Neon lighting has been a popular night light for years in signs, clubs, billboards, bars, and in trucks and cars. For neon lighting in a car, lighting tubes are set underneath the vehicle to produce a captivating glow, giving your car another characteristic for others to admire. Although there are newer lighting systems in cars today like LED night lights, neon lighting still has fans.

There's been much discussion regarding neon car lights by car buffs; some good and some bad. Compared to LED lighting, neon lighting is a good deal brighter, making it the ideal choice for someone who wants to put an eye-catching or glowing aura under and around their vehicle. The way the neon lights emit light beneath your car makes it perfect to work around every angle, giving a floating sensation while showing other features of your customized car. The neon car lights are set in a special type of plastic that protects the neon tubes. The protection provides the lights with added durability.

Meanwhile, individual LED lights aren't quite as bright. Because of that, you'd need several LED light tubes to equal the same brightness of neon lighting. If you would like both a solid and fluid underglow system, neon lights are the better choice. You can even display neon lights in smaller places in the interior of your car like on the dashboard, under the car seat and on the side doors. In a classic lighting sense, neon night lights are beyond compare.

Neon lights are usually cheaper than LED lights. Neon lights are an easy fix when you want a car light system fast, since they are simple to install. You can simply plug them in the cigarette holder in your car. Neon lighting can even be set to pulse to the beat of your car stereo. On a practical level, neon lights have been popular for many years.

LED light buffs, however see neon undercar lights as the 'old school' in car lighting. The lack of glow in LED lighting is counterbalanced by its durability as each light bulb longer than neon tubes. You can digitally synchronize LED lights to create different patterns and colors, unlike neon lights which only display a limited color set. LED lighting can be wirelessly controlled by infrared technology. LED undercar kits typically start up faster than neon lighting, particularly in colder weather. But most importantly, the barely sealed LED tubes won't use as much power as the neon lights.

As much as car enthusiasts want to say that neon lighting is out, your undercarriage lighting will still depend on what you would like your car to look like. It's a fact that neon lights will give your car more of a glow, more of an edge, and more appeal. A lot of the retro and old school talk is what makes neon lights a classic lighting system in both street racing and custom cars. The brilliant elements of these lights guarantees that your car receives the undivided attention it deserves.
