"Full Story"

you know why your prospects don't commit to the sale?
You give them a complete quote with your best possible
price. However, they fuss and fidget and just can't
bring themselves to close the deal. Meanwhile, you stand
by the wayside and sweat, hoping the sale will go
through. When it slips away, you don't even know why.
You curse, rant and rave! Actually you could have
captured the sale using one simple principle called
"the full story".
When you present your prospects with the full story, you
give them specific reasons why they should do business
with your company. Many deals disintegrate because
salespeople fail to explain the unique advantages of
working with their company. Prospects want to know more
about your company, but many times all they get are
terms and prices. Tell them why they should buy from
you. Provide all the juicy details about why you are the
best company to do the job, and you will leave your
competitors crying in their wrinkled proposals.
Telling the full story eliminates a big hurdle called
risk. The more your customer knows about you, the less
likely he will be frozen in indecision. When faced with
a scenario of choosing between several competing
companies, prospects tend to choose the lowest bidder.
They'll always make their decision based on the cheapest
option available, if that's all you give them! Don't
allow your customer to base his decision to buy solely
on price. Give him a first class education about why he
needs to buy from you.
When you are meeting with your prospects, always
reinforce the benefits of working with your company.
Emphasize your exceptional service and other features
that make you stand out from the competition. To create
a lasting impression with your prospects, try bringing
along a little "something" to leave with them.
